March Assortment

One of these days I'm going to sit down and write a focused post instead of just a photo dump, but I'm trying to do at least one update a month and it's the last day of March, so I just need to get this posted.

Raynor has mastered crawling and is into everything. He likes to pull DVDs off the shelf and to shove dirt and grass into his mouth. He pulls himself up to a stand now and will probably be cruising the furniture before long. He has evolved into an enthusiastic eater, as long as he gets to feed himself. We more-or-less skipped the puree stage. We tried it a few times, but he wasn't interested and I just wasn't motivated enough to force it.

Quentin lost his first tooth this month. He's had four loose teeth for over a year, but he doesn't really like to wiggle them. It's a good thing it finally fell out, as his permanent teeth were already growing in behind them (apparently this is called "shark syndrome" and is not particularly uncommon). Quentin is learning to read and is enthusiastic about practicing. He's making great progress, although the process can be frustrating. We're super proud of him! And now, some pictures.

Another older photo of R just before he learned to crawl. I thought this pose was just part of the learning process, but he often chooses to move on hands and feet rather than hands and knees.
